THE BRIEF
Co-sponsors Cloudinary and Zebra Technologies were looking to benefit from face-to-face networking time with leaders from the retail industry’s most influential companies.
They also wanted to engage in Chatham House-style conversations with retailers as they shared their strategies to make the most of the opportunities and tackle the challenges facing their businesses through peak trading and beyond.
THE SOLUTION
The annual Leaders’ Dinners – the most prestigious c-suite networking events of the calendar – are held twice annually in summer and winter. Regularly attended by leaders of some of the UK’s most successful retailers and brands, the winter dinner enabled partners Cloudinary and Zebra Technologies to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
Hosted on November 15 at The Cadogan, a townhouse hotel steeped in history and sitting at the crossroads of Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Belgravia, the dinner saw 40 retail leaders attend. These included leaders from Morrisons, Ann Summers, Holland & Barrett, Boots, Currys, Primark, Matalan, Dr Martens, Fortnum & Mason, The Works, and more – who came together over drinks, canapes and a three-course meal to build invaluable connections and benefit from a Chatham House discussion.
Justin King, former CEO of Sainsbury’s, was the special guest speaker for the evening, delivering a keynote of provocations and predictions for the year ahead, stimulating discussion across the evening among attendees
