THE BRIEF
Retail Week client Newton wanted to be showcased as a thought leader in the tech and digital space, and to meaningfully raise brand awareness through face-to-face networking in an intimate roundtable format.
THE SOLUTION
Retail Week, in collaboration with Newton, hosted The Future of Retail breakfast, where delegates met to network and discuss how to embrace tech-enabled growth in 2024.
Held at Rose Court, London, with beautiful views over the River Thames, senior retail leaders from companies including Next Beauty, Ikea, Halfords, The Edit LDN, EE and Liberty joined together to share insights into the challenges facing their businesses, success factors in creating thriving workplace environments and strategic learnings from across the sector.
Retail Week’s Director of Data and Insights Lisa Byfield-Green opened the event with a deep dive into Retail Horizon, Retail Week’s exclusive annual insights report, before opening the floor for a moderated roundtable discussion.
Awareness-raising activity before the event included a campaign of content-driven marketing emails to Newton’s target clients, as well as a dedicated and branded registration page for the breakfast.
Attendees praised the event, with the majority keen to hear what’s on the calendar to attend next.
One senior retailer commented: “What a wonderful event this morning was with some real experts from all of retail coming together to share ideas, expertise and also their vulnerabilities as well. Sharing those thoughts and making those connections has been wonderful.”
Another said: “The breakfast was great. Interactive, perfect amount of timing and the attendees added value all the way round. Really enjoyed it and look forward to the next one.”
