THE BRIEF
Zebra Technologies wanted to be positioned as the go-to technology partner for retailers looking to future-proof their organisations and achieve sustainable growth.
They were looking to engage senior retail decision makers across the industry to drive leads and brand awareness, collaborating on one of Retail Week’s biggest campaigns of the year.
THE SOLUTION
Retail Week’s flagship annual report, Retail 2026, launched in September 2025, outperforms benchmarks year on year.
Featuring 45 exclusive interviews with c-suite retailers and capturing the evolving sentiment, priorities, and predictions that will shape the industry in the year ahead, it was a fitting partnership between Retail Week and Zebra Technologies.
Retailers interviewed included the CEOs at Morrisons, B&Q, Dobbies, Fortnum & Mason, Majestic Wine, The Very Group, THG, Wickes and more, and COOs including from Matalan, Miniso, Pets at Home and Selfridges.
This year, content covered:
The sales, sentiment and state of the UK market.
- Retail’s investment priorities, from tech and AI, stores and people, to supply chain streamlining and customer-centric innovation.
- Case studies into eight retailers getting AI adoption and investment right.
- How retailers are prioritising people, planet and ESG progress.
A comprehensive branded marketing campaign ran for eight weeks, comprising:
- Three editorial style teaser articles published on retail-week.com, driving brand awareness to new audiences and encouraging report downloads. These remain on the website for a continued brand presence, beyond the marketing campaign ending
- Promotion of sole-sponsored report through email marketing to over 82k recipients, social media promotion and digital advertising on retail-week.com
- Promotion via Retail Week’s morning newsletter (27k subscribers) and Connect newsletter.
Zebra Technologies benefited from a high level of engagement from brands including Tesco, Primark, Currys, Monsoon Accessorize, The White Company, Marks & Spencer, FatFace, John Lewis Partnership, EE and Pandora.
