THE BRIEF
Retail Week had a series of clients express an interest in highlighting their solutions in the retail digital, tech and innovation space, with the opportunity to meet retailers face to face and benefit from valuable lead generation.
Some of our clients wanted the chance to speak within content sessions alongside leading retailers, while others were focused on connecting with retailers in Chatham House break-out roundtables and an intimate lunch. All partners wanted to secure unrivalled networking with retail stakeholders at a key time when the industry is planning their investment strategies for 2025.
THE SOLUTION
Returning for 2024 was Retail Week’s Innovation Summit; a day where the retail ecosystem comes together for networking, content, and inspiration to help map out their business transformation plans.
With six main stage content sessions, an hour of dedicated roundtable discussions, a sponsored lunch, and four hours of networking, the Summit was a prime opportunity for our partners to get in front of top retail decision makers and give fresh takes on key themes such as:
- The future of CX – the trends and innovations defining customer experience in 2025
- Empowering the retail frontline – the latest tech and strategies making waves
- Impactful AI applications – and where to invest to see real ROI
- Fostering lifelong connections – how to develop brands that cut through the noise
- Building the foundations for success – enabling seamless omnichannel experiences
- Retail media – how to realise its promise
The Summit boasted an incredible speaker line-up with names from Tesco, Morrisons, Very Group, Diageo, Kingfisher, Co-op, Miniso UK, Estee Lauder Companies, Depop and BP.
Campaign marketing included:
- Dedicated event portal with partner branding
- Social content across Twitter (100,000+ followers) and LinkedIn
- Native advertising on Retail-Week.com
- A 12-week marketing campaign to our database of retail professionals
With almost 70 attendees on the day, the Summit was Retail Week’s largest event of 2024 and was a stand-out success for the 11 partners involved.
Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive with one retailer commenting:
“Retail Week’s Innovation Summit was an excellent blend of discussion around new technologies and practical examples as to how these are driving success in businesses across multiple retail sectors. The moderators helped steer great and inspiring conversations.”
Considering the appetite for the content and demand for opportunities to brainstorm challenges around digital and tech transformation, the Innovation Summit will be returning in November 2025.
